Teddy's Favorite Thing

My debut short story -- “Teddy's Favorite Thing” -- is now on sale in the September/October 2023 issue of Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine.

It's a 1000-word flash fiction story about mass layoffs and workplace violence, seen through the eyes of a child ... on Bring-Your-Kid-To-Work Day! It draws on personal experience at a video game studio that shall not be named. (I'll blog about THAT another time).

But for now, my story is out there, and I hope you will celebrate by picking up a newsstand copy at Barnes & Noble in the United States, or grab it digitally anywhere in the world. With a little luck, this could be "the beginning of a beautiful friendship," as I have several other stories in submission, as you can see on my stories page.
